The Sunmi P3H printer cover is delicate and can be easily damaged if not used properly. A common issue is the breaking of a foot which prevents the cover from closing correctly. While you may still be able to print the quality of the prints will decrease over time because the roller does not apply enough pressure to the cover. This results in partially or poorly printed transaction receipts.

If the interior of the printer cover is damaged it may be necessary to purchase a new cover along with the printer itself. Transactions cannot be processed if the print valve is significantly damaged and the terminal will typically display an error message in such cases. As a temporary fix you can secure the printer cover with tape to continue accepting payments until your replacement cover arrives.
