CCV Docking Station
With a Docking station you can charge a payment terminal without the use of a charging cable. You simply place the terminal in the holder, connect the power supply and you are done. The payment terminal is always charged and you will never be left with an empty battery again.
A base station is also called a docking station. This comes from the word “docking” or mooring. The purpose of a Docking station is to always supply power to a device such as a payment terminal or a laptop. At the same time, this gives the payment terminal a permanent location. Especially for entrepreneurs who use a mobile payment device having a fixed location can save you time. After all, you always know where the machine is located.
Premium or CCV
There are two types of docking stations: the Premium version from Verifone and the proprietary model from CCV Nederland. Both manufacturers offer the same solution while the price of the CCV version is clearly lower. In addition, a major advantage is that it can also be used with both the Verifone vx680 and the vx670.
So if you want to switch from a Vx670 to a Vx680 then it will not be necessary to also replace your base station. Connecting a CCV Docking is very easy and can be done without a manual. To use a docking you need two parts: a battery charger (power supply) and the docking station itself. You first connect the battery charger to the power network and then attach it to the bottom of the docking station. The only thing left is placing the terminal and you are always assured of a full battery.
